Get Spooky at the WKP Kennedy Gallery

October 24, 2019

Looking for some spooky fun this week? Join us at the WKP Kennedy Gallery for our Crafts & Crafts night on October 24th! You always hear people saying there’s nothing to do- well, they’re wrong! The Gallery is programming all kinds of events and there should be something for everyone. Crafts & Crafts is for the 19+ crowd who is looking to socialize, have fun, relax and do something new.

Unfortunately the gallery experienced a flood and the floors had to be partly removed. That is NOT stopping the party! Crafts & Crafts is NOT like a paint night; this is not a sit down event.  You can choose to come simply to hang out in the gallery and listen to live music and enjoy a great Gateway City Brewery beer, or you can jump into pumpkin painting or button making. The first 50 people will get a FREE Good Glaze donut! A Gateway City Brewery expert will be here to answer any of your craft beer questions. It is a cash bar. If you don’t like beer or donuts you can enjoy the candy bar and play mega Jenga!

Our gallery Director/Curator Alix Voz explains her inspiration for this event: “I want everyone to enjoy the gallery! This event is meant to bring down the Nipissing and Canadore students while also creating a space for the young professionals who are looking for a good time! There is no age limit to this event; if you like beer, donuts, painting, button making, Jenga or candy you should come! It’s a great large space, so let’s have a party!”

The event will take place from 7 to 9:30 PM, and tickets can be purchased for $10 either at the Capitol Centre box office (705-474-4747) or online at capitolcentre.org/events/craft-crafts-in-the-wkp-kennedy-gallery. Tickets also available at the door!
